Postdoctoral researcher at University Medical Center Utrecht
Hi everybody, I’m Tom Driedonks, postdoctoral researcher at University Medical Center Utrecht, the Netherlands
I’m fascinated by extracellular vesicles, which are tiny membrane-enclosed bubbles that transport proteins and RNA between cells in the body. Doing so, they play an important role in regulating health and disease processes.
With my research, I want to figure out how this ‘molecular package service’ works, and how we can use it to transport medicine to diseased cells.
